Amanda Armor

Ms. Amanda Armor is a 15th year teacher at Seneca Valley proudly entering into her 10th year directing full stage productions with the immensely talented young performers of Ryan Gloyer 7-8 Middle School. A graduate of Slippery Rock University with a dual degree in Secondary English and Theatre, Ms. Armor focused much of her time there on the art of direction. With a wonderful team of co-directors, producers and designers behind her she has mounted some wonderful productions here at Seneca Valley including musicals like Seussical, The Little Mermaid, Shrek, Lion King, Elf, and plays including the Great Gatsby and The Outsiders. She credits her own high school choir director Mrs. Lorraine Smith for teaching her how to manage a “cast of thousands” and give every young performer their moment in the spotlight. She hopes to see each student who comes out for the play in 7th grade find a home on the stage or behind the scenes and a family around them in the cast and crew just as she first found as a 7th grader in her first big musical production The Sound of Music.
